Klinsmann Names The 22 US Players For October Friendlies

    CHICAGO (Sept. 29, 2011) — U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has named a squad of 22 players to prepare for the upcoming friendlies against Honduras and Ecuador. The U.S. first hosts Honduras on Oct. 8 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. ET, and the match will be broadcast live on Fox Soccer and Univision. Three days later, the U.S. makes its first appearance at Red Bull Arena when they welcome Ecuador to Harrison, N.J. Coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2, ESPN3 and Univision.     The experiments continue. Happy to see a bunch of regulars on this squad but I'd love to see Freddy Adu up there to get a shot. I love DeMarcus Beasley but I don't think he should be on that squad. I don't understand Klinsmanns love with him. And it may be a homer pick but he should call up Darlington Nagbe from Portland. Kid's a BEAST and he's finally come into his own and he's playing amazing soccer. Call it up for a few nothing matches and see what he can do on the wing.

    I agree totally. The thing that sucks is that Bradley started 0-4 in his tenure as US Coach. Of course he kept all of the major names on the squad for those games. I think Klinsmann will be fine and FIFA also just approved Fabian Johnson's one time switch to play for the USMNT. He's a heck of a midfielder with a TON of Bundesliga experience.
