League Disapproves Eagles QB Matt Nagy's Contract

    Matt Nagy's term as an Eagles quarterback couldn't have been shorter. The team announced Nagy's contract was disapproved by the NFL Tuesday afternoon, and he will not be re-signed. The Birds will look elsewhere for a backup.

    Thats hecked up he sounded happy in his interview and now the nfl shuts him down. He probably wouldent make it anyway but he wanted to play in preseason.

    It was maybe disapproved because he is a "coaching intern." It would lead to a disaster because teams would hire "coaching interns" at every position and just sign them when they needed...it would be a way around free agency and a roster limits.

    It wasn't Philly trying to work a loop hole you tool! The dude came as a coaching intern. We suddenly had a short term need for a 3rd QB so we looked close to someone already there at camp and tried to make that work.
    Working a loop hole implies A that there was a rule in place that we were tying to skirt and B that Matt Freaking Nagy is a stud we were trying to hide from the league
