The Detroit Lions made an effort to upgrade depth at offensive line on Sunday, signing tackle Kevin Haslam.

To clear room on the roster, the Lions waived undrafted rookie Austin Holtz.

Haslam, listed at 6-foot-5 and 310 pounds, has been a member of several NFL rosters since going undrafted out of Rutgers in 2010. He spent his first two years with the Jacksonville Jaguars, appearing in five games for the organization and in 2012, he played in five games for the San Diego Chargers, starting three at left tackle.

Haslam was most recently with the New England Patriots, but was released by the organization on Aug. 15.
