A 24-hour extension was needed to do so, but the Detroit Lions have avoided a local television blackout of Sunday's game against the NFC West-leading St. Louis Rams. The Lions announced on Thursday that they had 2,500 tickets remaining, which qualified for the extension. Detroit is looking for its first win of the season against the 2-2 Rams.
