Cornerback Ron Bartell left practice today after landing hard on his right shoulder, and Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz said he’ll undergo more tests to determine the extent of the injury. “He wasn’t able to finish practice,†Schwartz said. “At first, he looked like he was going to. He sort of landed on it a little funny. We’ll get it tested today. It’s probably too early to tell. He wasn’t in a whole lot of discomfort, but shoulders can be a little bit funny. He hasn’t had shoulders in the past, so we’ll just sort of have to wait and see on that one.†Bartell worked with the first-team defense throughout spring and in the first two days of training camp. Rookie Darius Slay replaced him with the starting unit today, and Bill Bentley continues to play in nickel situations. Safety Louis Delmas did not practice today, as expected, and the Lions will continue to monitor his reps throughout summer. Source: SBNation.com
