Lions coach Jim Schwartz isn't apologizing for his reign of terror on his headset after beating the Redskins, 27-20, Sunday. After the victory, Schwartz threw the headset to the ground, and said Monday it was simply an emotional reaction to the game. "I'm surprised at what gets attention on the sideline," Schwartz said. "If I stand there like this (stone-faced, arms crossed), I'd probably get criticized for being too detached and not being emotionally involved in the game. "Guess what? I'm emotionally involved in the game. It's a tough week. It's a tough game. It's hard to win in the National Football League." Schwartz didn't say there was an issue with his headset, but the Lions had some unforeseen communications issues during the game. The cameras the Lions needed to evaluate plays during the game didn't work, so they essentially played the first half blind. The Redskins offered their pictures to the Lions in the second half. "Everybody really had to pull double duty and get to the bottom," Schwartz said. Source:Detroit News
