The Detroit Lions may have established their 53-man roster on Saturday, but it's not truly finalized for Week 1 of the season just yet. Case in point: Linebacker Rocky McIntosh was released on Sunday.

With Cory Greenwood on injured reserve because of an injury, McIntosh looked like a good bet to make the 53-man roster, and he did just that -- for one day, anyway. With Chris White and Brandon Hepburn both being released, it looked like McIntosh was safe from being cut on Sunday, but that wasn't the case.

With McIntosh gone, the Lions now have room to add safety DeJon Gomes, who was reportedly claimed off waivers from the Washington Redskins earlier in the day.
