Lions defensive end Jason Jones tore the patellar tendon in his left knee during Sunday’s win over the Redskins and is out for the rest of the season, according to multiple reports. Jones was carted off the field midway through the second quarter. It was just his third game in a Lions uniform, after signing a three-year, $9.5-million free-agent contract during the offseason. Detroit brought in Jones, a former Tennessee Titan and Seattle Seahawk, to start opposite first-round draft pick Ezekiel Ansah and replace departed linemen Kyle Vanden Bosch and Clint Avril.
