The Lions' decision to sign tackle Jon Jansen promptly after he was cut by the Redskins proves that one man's trash is another man's treasure. The only problem in the NFL context is that, when reeling in someone else's garbage can, the team must then must designate someone else as solid waste. In the Lions' case, the victim is tackle George Foster, according to Tom Kowalski of Mlive.com, Foster came to Detroit two years ago in the trade that sent Dre' Bly to Denver and Foster signed a one-year deal after the 2008 season to stick around.
