So many fans turned out for free tickets to Monday's impromptu NFL game that the Detroit Lions had to stop distributing them. The Lions announced at 10:40 a.m. ET on Monday that they had stopped giving out tickets to the rescheduled New York Giants-Minnesota Vikings game set to be played at Ford Field on Monday night. The team said there was an "overwhelming response" that prompted the closure of the box office. The Lions will enforce Ford Field's capacity of 64,500 on a first-come, first-served basis. So fans planning to attend Monday's Giants-Vikings game are encouraged to get there early to ensure access to the general admission gate. Source: USA Today
