If general manager Martin Mayhew stays true to his word, the Lions are going to have a lot of homework to do this week at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. That's because the Lions won't be looking to address one specific positional need; they'll be looking to draft the best available, regardless of position, when they're on the clock. "Philosophically, our position hasn't changed," Mayhew said last month. "We want to look for the best players we can find without regard to what side of the ball that they play, what position that they play. "Obviously, we wouldn't take a quarterback with the second overall pick at this point, so there's some common sense in there, too. But we want to continue to add talented players, no matter what side of the ball those guys play on or what their positions are." Source: Detroit Free Press
Not that strategy again!!!! Didn't we get Mike Williams because he was the so called best talent available............
Is Eric Berry at the top of their list as well as mine? if the pass on Suh or McCoy for him then they're in trouble. Berry IMO is the BPA but positional value set him out the top 5.
