Steve12 The night is dark and full of terrors

After the Lions put a thorough 48-3 beatdown on the Chiefs Sunday at Ford Field, Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli walked up on Lions general manager Martin Mayhew at a bank of elevators reserved for team personnel in the upper regions of the stadium. According to Chris McCosky of the Detroit News, Pioli called out to Mayhew and extended his right hand to shake hands. There were a series of hearings surrounding the tampering case and ultimately the Lions were forced to surrender a 2012 seventh-round draft pick. If they make the playoffs – and they’re off to a 2-0 start – it becomes a sixth-round pick they give up. Pioli was apparently intent on mending fences but Mayhew wanted nothing to do with him. “Mayhew shook his head and turned his back on Pioli,â€￾ McClosky wrote.
