Oklahoma running back DeMarco Murray and Missouri defensive end Aldon Smith visited the Detroit Lions today, the team announced. Murray was an All-Big 12 selection last season who set the Sooners' all-time records for all-purpose yards (6,626), touchdowns (64), points (384) and receiving yards for a running back (1,572). The Academic All-Big 12 second-team selection rushed for 3,592 career yards, ranking sixth in school history and generated 1,462 kick return yards. Smith finished last season with 48 tackles, 10 tackles for losses and 5 1/2 sacks but he missed time due to a broken leg. Smith ran the 40-yard dash in 4.74 seconds at the NFL scouting combine, posting a 34-inch vertical leap and bench pressed 225 pounds 20 times. Source: National Football Post
