The NFL's proposed change to kickoff rules makes it less likely they'll keep two kickers according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. The Lions like Dave Rayner and, at the very least, want to bring him to training camp this fall. Jason Hanson also is under contract and is rehabbing from the knee injury that cut short his 2010 season, Hanson's health ultimately could determine who kicks for the Lions next year. Hanson had one touchback in eight games last year -- 35 kickers, including Rayner (two), had more, but with an extra 5 yards of field position, reaching the end zone shouldn't be a problem. Hanson averaged 61.6 yards per kickoff last year kicking with Achilles tendinitis. Source: Detroit Free Press
