Last week, Green Bay Packers running back Ryan Grant‘s agent mentioned that his client would be meeting with the Detroit Lions on Monday. According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, no meeting was ever scheduled. It was also reported that Grant had an offer on the table from the team, but that too appears to be in question now. The New England Patriots brought Grant in for a visit, but ultimately chose to sign Joseph Addai in recent days. If the Lions aren’t interested in him, the Packers would appear to be his best opportunity, but there’s still no guarantee that they’ll end up re-signing him.
