It wasn't a complete shocker that Lydon Murtha had to watch practice from the sidelines due to a back problem and has struggled with injuries ever since he joined the Cornhuskers as a freshman. Still, Murtha would prefer sitting out a short while right now instead of risking injury and missing much more time later. Besides, the 6-foot-7, 315-pounder is sure he'll be able to catch up fairly quickly. "It's always tough being hurt, I hate it, but I always come back and I make it," Murtha said. "I still feel like I really got a lot out of being here with the other new players. I learned a lot by watching, and I really got a good feel for the expectations that they have for all of us. I was actually the most excited to see how similar the playbook is to what I had in college. Of course, there's a lot of stuff to learn, but a lot of it looked familiar, right down to the names of things. So that was good."
