The Lions placed rookie wide receiver Ryan Broyles on the Non-Football Injury list as camp opened on Tuesday. Broyles, the team's second-round pick in April, tore the ACL in his left knee in November and the Lions plan to be cautious with him. He did participate in OTA workouts in May. The team can activate him at any time during training camp. Otherwise, he'll be forced to miss the start of the season.

i thought he was on pace to be healthy by camp. Hes gonna be an awesome replacement for burleson if he gets healthy. Calvin, Broyles, Young is a very talented, very fast, very young group of WRs. Broyles reminds me of santonio holmes

No need to rush him with the depth they have at the position. ACL's are tricky, some players aren't all the way back for over a year.
