During an event last night at Ford Field for season ticket holders, several members of the Detroit Lions coaching staff, and president Tom Lewand, dropped strong hints that Detroit would use their second overall pick on Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. Nobody came out and actually said it, but the message was pretty clear for everyone in attendance. First, if Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford is the first pick in the draft , whether it's to the St. Louis Rams or somebody else, the odds of the Lions trading down is greatly reduced, regardless of who they want to take, it's very unlikely the Lions would use their season tickets holders as stooges to get out a false message and it's much more likely the Lions would want to give their ticket-buying and most loyal fans the first hint of what they're thinking.
