It’s almost like there are two Mikel Leshoures. There is the gregarious, always smiling Leshoure who often can be found woofing on or goofing with his fellow running backs in the locker room. Then there is the seemingly moodier, more low-key guy who, if you didn’t know any better, doesn’t look like he’s having all that much fun, especially during practice. “No, I’m good,†Leshoure said, when he was asked if he was having fun. “I am low-key and I’ve always been like that. I have fun with the guys in the locker room. But at the end of the day, it’s the NFL. It’s a competitive league and all you can do is go out and compete.†His battle level has been a subject of some debate, especially during this camp as second-year Joique Bell seemingly has moved ahead of him as the No. 2 running back for the Lions behind Reggie Bush. “My role is whatever they say it is,†Leshoure said Monday. “I don’t have any suggestions. Whatever it is, I will roll with it.†So maybe he did come into camp a little mopey, though he denies it. “I just got to keep working,†he said. “It is what it is. I’ve been in competition since I was in college and the only thing you can do when you are competing is work, go to practice and work. “It’s a competition. It’s the NFL, best of the best, just go out and work.†Source: Detroit News
