The Detroit Lions have released defensive end Freddie Bishop, according to Tim Twentyman. The announcement came on Wednesday morning, one day after the team agreed to a deal with defensive end Israel Idonije. Bishop had been with the Lions since mid-May of this year. He wasn't one of the Lions' original undrafted free agent signings for 2013, but he ended up on the team anyway as they shuffled things around before OTAs. With Bishop being released, the Lions now have eight defensive ends on their roster. Source: SBNation.com
