At the risk of being associated with Satan, we’ll report the Detroit Lions have released linebacker Zack Follett a year after he was temporarily paralyzed with a neck injury in a game. Follett, of course, said the devil operated through the media during a rambling online video this offseason. That was after he referred to Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford as a “china doll†because he couldn’t stay on the field. Follett wasn’t able to participate in hitting drills in training camp because of his neck situation. Curiously, he was not waived injured. Source National Football Post
From what I read outside of this, it was a mutual decision, he can't play anymore due to pain and both parties agreed this was for the best.
