One of the Lions' hopeful young lineman won't have a chance to compete for a starting job when training camp begins Friday. The Lions released interior lineman Bill Nagy Thursday, likely due to continued ankle issues. Nagy, 25, underwent surgery for a high sprain on his left ankle last August while still a member of the Cowboys, but when Dallas released him, the Lions claimed Nagy on waivers. At the time, the Lions grabbed Nagy, hoping he would return to his 2011 form when, as a rookie, he started four games at left guard, but he spent the entire 2012 season on injured reserve. Nagy's rookie campaign was cut short when he broke his right ankle, so the ankle injuries were certainly cause for concern. Source: SBNation.com
