Outside of Calvin Johnson, the Detroit Lions aren't happy with their wide receivers. According to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, the Lions are calling around the league looking to acquire a starting-caliber wideout. Detroit's passing attack has been stagnant with Johnson out of the lineup the past two preseason games. Nate Burleson, who is expected to start opposite Johnson, has just one reception for five yards after playing 70 snaps in three preseason contests. Patrick Edwards, projected by many to be the team's fourth option after a strong training camp, has caught four balls for a paltry 16 yards. Source: MLive.com
Who can they trade for? And what about someone like Brandon Lloyd....he's still a free agent. He couldn't be that toxic with that team, could he?
You would think being dumped on the street by the Pats, whom themselves haven't got anyone of note to replace him with, would give him a boot up the arse and be at least worth a shot for Detroit. Or perhaps Titus Young? :icon_twisted:
