The Detroit Lions have released linebacker Doug Hogue and re-signed cornerback Justin Miller. Detroit is trying to add depth to its defensive backfield, which will be without cornerback Jacob Lacey and rookie cornerback Bill Bentley. Lacey will not play against the Chicago Bears due to a concussion injury, while Bentley is recovering from a shoulder injury. The Lions worked out cornerback Alphonso Smith and Miller this past Wednesday. Smith was signed the next day, while Miller was added today. Source: MLive.com
