The Detroit Lions have announced the signings of running backs Jerome Harrison and Mike Bell. Lions second-round running back Mikel Leshoure was lost for the season to a torn Achilles' tendon on Monday. Harrison was a fifth-round pick out of Washington State by the Cleveland Browns in 2006. After spending his first three seasons as a backup, Harrison received more playing in 2009, rushing for 862 yards and five touchdowns and catching 34 passes for 220 yards and two touchdowns. The 6-foot, 225-pound Bell is nearly identical in size to Leshoure, who was drafted to be the power running back complement to the speedy Jahvid Best. Source: Mac's Football Blog
