Soon the Detroit Lions will be in single-digits when it comes to the number of players remaining from the abyss known as the Matt Millen era. Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press breaks down the, well, break down of the roster as the franchise moves another year away from the grips of Millen. It’s a challenge for them as they continue the rebuilding process because they don’t have core players in place, veterans that should be the glue of the organization. It could be only five or so of the remaining Millen players are even starters, including offensive linemen Dominic Raiola and Jeff Backus and wide receiver Calvin Johnson. “It's difficult, but we can't concern ourselves with what happened in the past," coach Jim Schwartz said. "That's water under the bridge. You need to move on from that." Somewhere, perhaps, Charles Rogers is having another property foreclosed on him. Source: National Football Post
