Detroit Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson is not in jeopardy of losing his starting position, despite the recent addition of second-round pick Ryan Broyles. Burleson is on board with the team’s strategy in regards to building their roster. “I’m a firm believer in just take the best athlete available,†said Burleson. “I don’t care if it’s a guy in my position, or if it’s somebody else. If we get the best player available, I know we’re going to be better.†Broyles is still recovering from ACL surgery and has a good shot at starting the season the PUP list, so Burleson figures to be in the team’s plans for at least the early portion of the season.
