The Detroit Lions are going to sign former Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl offensive guard Leonard Davis, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. Davis tried out for the Lions on Thursday along with former Lions running back Kevin Smith, former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antwaan Randle-El and 21 other players. Davis, 33, is a 6-foot-6, 355-pound mauling blocker who has started 153 career games since entering the NFL in 2001. Signed by the Cowboys in 2007 to a seven-year, $49.6 million contract that included $18.75 million in guaranteed money, Davis was released in July prior to training camp. Source: Scout.com
