4 of the lions next 5 games are on the road, including games to minnesota, chicago, and this one. the lions could be 3-6 a month from now and with the resurgence of minny and chicago in the division, detroit may be back in the NFC North cellar after a short time out of it last season.

 

I have no confidence in the Lions. They are a team that loves to take dumb penalties. Eagles find a way to win this one.

it would be pretty bad if the lions play like they have all season and the eagles lose this game.

 

We've won three games, by FOUR points. I don't know why the heck people are giving the Eagles so much credit. The defense will again have to overcome at least 3 turnovers and find a way to win the game.

 

well, yes, people are probably giving the eagles too much credit this season because people feel they have a ton of talent. in this case, though, the lions have been so horrible on defense that even if vick gives the ball away 3 times, the eagles should STILL score 30 points and i think most people feel like the eagles defense is good enough to hold the lions offense to less than that.

now, if the lions defense decides to have a decent game, the eagles could be in trouble, but thus far, their defense has shown no signs of life.

Sure, take a timeout on 3rd and 1 when you still have 8 seconds on the play clock.

DEFINITELY don't just audible to a different play. Burn those timeouts. They're worthless anyway.
