La Canfora stated Daniels will likely be limited for the start of training camp due to his recovery from major knee surgery, a situation that could be significant in terms of contract talks. According to La Canfora, the Texans have told Daniels — who was having a career season in 2009 before the injury — that they will need to see a complete return before he’s rewarded with a contract.
