A 26-year-old Rochester-area man who went missing from Thursday night’s Buffalo Bills game was found dead near the stadium early this morning, authorities said. The man was found face down in Smoke’s Creek near Shadow Lane. Authorities said the man’s brother reported to law enforcement that the brother had been ejected from the game, apparently for being intoxicated, and that he couldn’t find him after the game. Law enforcement were able to get a “ping†off the missing man’s cell phone to help locate him. Source: National Football Post
holy crap ......... alcohol poisoning? if that is the cause of death, his family is going to get rich in the lawsuit against the Bills ............ millions and millions of dollars for liability.
Anywhere that guy drank that day is gonna pay. At least that's what would happen in PA. Over served at the Bills game...lotta money coming that families way...but not worth losing the life of the 26 year old.
in my town a good bar was closed down because a guy went home and killed his entire family after leaving that bar. U definitly dont want to be the last place a person was before something goes down. They cant really say he was overserved at the game he probably found a way to get more booz or drank before the game. Its hard to over serve when its 10 dollars a beer.
the stadium may or may not have served him ................. more importantly, kicking the guy out of the stadium BY HIMSELF, separating him from his group (who may have been able to help him) and just leaving him alone if he was that drunk seems to hold some liability. having said that, i re-read the story and the dude drowned in a creek so maybe the bills can pawn this off as just a simple accident.
yes, and that may come up in the lawsuit. the reason they have laws for public intoxication is to protect the drunk person from hurting themselves or others.
It's not the Bills responsibility to make sure that everyone gets from the stadium to their home safely, and with probably tens of thousands of people drinking in the stadium it's unrealistic for them to make sure that nobody is "overserved", especially when people aren't buying drinks just for themselves. Say he was refused service for being too drunk, well he's there with a group of people and anyone of them can go get the beer for him instead...and likely would. The way I see it the responsibility for his welfare is his own, and to a lesser degree the people (assumedly his friends) that he was there with. It's an unfortunate tale, and Im sure the lawsuits will fly, but in the end it's on him and his, IMO.
If he was THAT heckered up to get kicked out of a football stadium full to the brim of rowdy drunk people, at least one of his people should have left with him to make sure he was ok. I'd never let a friend, especially a really really drunk friend, walk out of a situation like that alone.
walnuts, obviously this is all common sense for normal people and how regular people view the world ................ however, our legal system doesn't always function with common sense and logic. if the family of the lost one can get in front of the right judge, they WILL win this lawsuit easily.
