I am done fighting it. If people are that uncreative that they need to post a huge cluster-F of a thread and throw a crapload of topics in there, then so be it. Have at it.
When I first came on this board I thought it was dumb not to have mega threads. Now I'm not a huge fan of the idea.
I don't understand the allure of them either. "Hey, let's throw a crapload of topics into one huge clusterheck of a thread and let everyone fend for themselves when it comes to wanting to discuss a topic!" Yeah....that sounds good. The problem is people frankly are too lazy simply hit "New Thread" and start a specific topic about a specific subject which is what a message board is for. Like I said though, I am done fighting about it so let the simple minded do what they want.
One of the things that will be monitored in the Mega-Threads will be the derailment of threads. Keep in mind, they aren't threads created for smack talk or debates about which QB is better. They are threads to discuss the team and topics about that team. Please keep this in mind when posting in specific Team Threads.
Well, good luck with that. We've been down this road before, and the result is always the same... and yes, I'll keep an eye on those threads... :icon_rolleyes:
if the monitors do their job there won't be any issues. that was the problem before, certain monitors, no not pointing out anyone in particular didn't do crap and allowed the threads to go to hell.
at times there was too much crap talking going on, maybe not by your standards but it took away from good discussions.
