In March, Moore left the Minnesota Vikings as a free agent and signed a three-year deal with the Steelers. The next month, the Steelers added Mendenhall. Moore, though, said he has never felt better about his decision. "I'm excited," said Moore, whose contract is worth as much as $4.95 million with a $1.35 million signing bonus. "I know my role. My role is being a return guy and a third-down guy, spelling the (starter and backup). That's something I'm comfortable with." "I've been in situations where you build a stable and use every horse in the stable," Moore said. "When you're called upon, you have to make sure that you're capable and ready to do it. I've been here, and so far, I enjoy it."

he might end up taking najehs roster spot....i dunno, i like najeh but

    Parker and Mendenhall are locks

Davis appears to be our FB

Now we have MeMo, Davenport, and Russel...i love what russel did last year btw

MeMo and Najeh are more than capable backups, and would be fantastic 3rd string guys. Both are excellent pass recievers, follow blocks well and play special teams...they might have a big battle this camp for that 3rd spot, unless they part ways with russell

I agree 100%. I don't think they let Russell go because of his age. Moore can return both kicks and punts.

Najeh could be the odd man out and with his small legal problem, that could push him over the edge and out the door. Carey Davis will be the FB...I read talk of bringing Kreider back as well, but I highly doubt that that would be something to actually happen. I think his days are done in a Steelers uniform.

    So:

    Parker
    Mendenhall
    Russell
    Moore

    Davis

I cannot see a feasible way Davenport stays on this roster. I'm thinking he'll probably be the last player cut as long as there are no injuries to the RB position...

i dont know, russell has his work cut out for him imo, hes a brusier though and he was very productive with maroney at minnesota. Hes a great young runner, dumb as crap but he can carry the ball. I think he really has to show something to get a roster spot, its not like we have alot invested in him.

Najeh is fast and elusive for such a big man, has awesome hands and his vision puts parkers to shame, he follows blocks like a champ. BUT hes not a tough runner as his size would suggest and hes damn near worthless in pass protection. Hes pretty productive but he might be the odd man out. We probably should have traded him to someone looking for a good runner because he has been productive when called upon and has been pretty durable for us
