Mike McCarthy Admits He's Concerned Of Jermichael Finley's Early Success

  1. Success has come fast for Packers tight end Jermichael Finley, who turns 23 on Friday, and coach Mike McCarthy admitted he has concerns about how he'll handle it. One person close to Finley said it was important that he continue to have the structure football provides him in his life because he is so young and impressionable. He left the University of Texas after just two seasons and has changed agents several times despite being under contract through next season. "You always worry about young guys that have success that fast, that quick, particularly more when they aren't at work," McCarthy said. "I think we have a very good work environment. Jermichael in particular loves football, the working out, the drill work, the one on one coaching with (tight ends coach) Ben McAdoo that you can't get enough of. He's at work, he's got a big smile on his face, but like a lot of guys, you kind of worry about them once they leave the building. But it's all part of growing up and handling success."

  4. It's Green Bay, there's nothing to do. That's specifically the reason Favre was traded there by the Falcons.
