of course Lidge loses it, what a bunch of crap, UGGLA is an ahole. Also, TJ, you never gave me any feedback on those sheets.
Lidge was up and down in the pen for hours. Did anyone expect him to not look like crap when he came in? I'm just glad he didn't have to go 2 innings. Worst ASG ever.
I actually liked the game, so many plays at the plate and some nice defensive plays - aside from uggla trying to give the game away.
Yeah, I liked the game too...I fell asleep around the 5th inning and woke up when they were heading to extra-inning. Either team could've won it. Joakim Soria is a hell of a pitcher...I hope he gets out of that craphole in KC soon...
Kansas City is not a crap hole. That being said, the Royals have sucked it up pretty bad for a while, I will give you that. I think that the winning run this year was actually out. His heel wasn't touching the plate when the catchers glove touched his toe. unch:
Well, I apologize, Herm. But yeah, the Royals suck. I found this pic...he was clearly out. Maybe the ump wanted just to get the hell out of there already.
The glove of the catcher is obscuring the view of the touch. It looks like the shoe is just above the plate at that angle, but I can't tell if the glove is touching the other side of the toe of the shoe.
I moved this thread to the Baseball forum because I have the feeling the discussion will last for a couple more days, and I didn't want it buried in the Closed Events sportsbook section. Anyway...I'd like to take this opportunity to say that Yankees fans are the biggest scum to ever walk this planet. I mean, it's the All-Star Game...it's a party!! And all their little brains could think about was to boo every Red Sox Player in sight. Ok, we get it...Yankees - Red Sox is the biggest rivalry in sports and all that, but give it a rest already!! Even Francona proved to be the bigger man by giving the same fans that were booing him the chance to cheer Jeter and A-Rod in the middle of the game. That ends my rant...thank you very much.
From what I saw on espn, it look like Morneau's leg just touched the plate before he was touched BUT JUST BARELY.
