As far as Bobby Jenks is concerned, the incident involving his Saturday purpose pitch behind Texas second baseman Ian Kinsler and the ensuing Major League Baseball investigation of said pitch officially stands behind him. "Unless you guys keep asking me about it," said Jenks with a laugh, talking with the media in front of his locker prior to Tuesday's game at Progressive Field. Jenks was fined an undisclosed amount by Major League Baseball on Tuesday -- which is being reported as $750 -- for his fastball that sailed past Kinsler's backside with two outs in the ninth inning of the White Sox 3-2 victory. Why even bother with the fine. I would love to hear the reasoning for fining him $750. That sounds like an amount from the 1920's.
So in other words, it's ok for Rangers pitchers to hit White Sox batters but it's not ok for the White Sox to send a message?
Heres a suggestion for the next time the White Sox and Rangers play. How about warning BOTH TEAMS before the series even starts? It just pisses me off that Jenks gets a warning from the home plate umpire but Rangers pitchers hit god knows how many White Sox batters and don't get warned, thats total BULLCRAP.
most stupid fine in the history of sports. 750 dollars is nothing to any of the players, even the ones who make a minimum.
