It's got to be the Saints, are they for real?

Patriots are the most intriguing in my eyes. How good can they be this year? Will Randy Moss return to his old Viking form? Will Brady have enough around him now to put up a record breaking statistical year? Will Belichik ever reveal an honest injury?

I'm also intrigued by the Pats...will their Daniel Snyder spending spree pan out, or fall flat on the face like his did with the Skins?

Also by the Bears believe it or not. All you hear is they're ready, but will they have the same success they had last year? If not, the NFC North could be coming back to Green Bay.

Probably the Niners for me, I'm interested to see if all the new starters they have on defense can gel together and if Frank Gore can repeat his season last year and stay healthy.

Beyond the Eagles, definitely the Pats for me as well. I'm curious as to how that offense is going to click.

I want to see if the Norv Turner HC curse ruins a great San Diego team.

The Raiders for me. I want to see if the defense can repeat what it did last year. And if the offense can do good enough to notch a few more wins up this year

That is a gaurantee. As much as I respect Turner's coordinator and offensive capabilities, he's not shown himself to be a great head coach. I think San Diego takes a big step back this year because of that and will go 11-5 on the season. I don't see them advancing too far in the playoffs either.

Intriguing team....I'd have to say the Falcons. Can they overcome the circus of the Vick case and.....can they win without him? Will they be better without him? Will the running game still go without Michael? Not at all guessing that they will win it all...let alone their division but.....as far as intrigue goes.... When you lose your top player....

For me I'm kinda intrigued with how the Steelers are going to work out losing their HC and Bettis too, I'm not saying that Parker can't do it, but he's no Bettis...Isn't Faneca very unhappy in P-town? I do however miss Cedric a lot.

I think there is a lot of talent in the whole league... to me it's the team that can get the chemistry working. I think the Saints have it going and I guess I curious to see how the pats work together. I'd like to list the Broncos in here, and though I think they'll be good this year, I'm not sure where the defensive chemistry is as of yet.

Other than the Lions for me.. I'd have to say the Pats also. For pretty much the same reasons already mentioned in this thread.

1.) New England Patriots - They have always been a good defensive team, but to go along with that good 'D' that they still have, they now have a good offense as well, so they are definitely a team to watch. With Brady, Moss, Maroney, and Stallworth on offense, they are very talented and fast. Their defense alone has made them a great team over the past few years, but now with that offense, it's hard to believe what they will do. Wow, this team will be good. Very nice dual threat on both sides of the ball.

2.) St. Louis Rams - Their offense on paper looks amazing. Count 'em: Bulger, Jackson, Holt, Bruce, Hall, and McMichael. If that isn't intriguing, then I don't know what is. We have yet to really see all of them play together, but they should light it up during the regular season. Obviously, there is a chance that they don't meet expectations, but heading into the first game of the season, you have to be excited about that offense. It's possible that they could put up 30+ points a game.

3.) San Francisco 49ers - They are getting a ton of hype this season, and quite frankly, they deserve it. They added several good defensive players, and their offense should be good too. Frank Gore has already emerged into a top RB in this league, and Smith and Vernon Davis should just get better. Under Mike Nolan, the 49ers have a chance to really do something big. Watch out for them.

Im gonna go with the Niners. I wanna see if Alex Smith is capable of leading a team to the playoffs. I think they'll get it done.

Agreed. Turnip can not win close games but at the same time, with all those weapons, they'll blow people out (Norv is a fantastic play caller when the pressure is off).

For me though, the team I'm most interested in outside the Skins is the Cardinals, loads of potential and a feeling they will look like they are finally turning the corner.

Picking just one is pretty damn hard. Beyond SF, I'd have to say that Ravens, Bengals and Seahawks are the three that interest me the most.

The Ravens were killer on defense last year, about as good as I've seen them over the last five years. On the flip side, the offense was downright putrid and cost them several times, most notably in the playoffs. I liked McGahee in college and he almost won me my fantasy league in his first year of actually playing in Buffalo. Jamal Lewis has looked slow and clumsy ever since he went to prison and his style of running was not getting it done in Baltimore, I'd like to see what McGahee can do. McNair also doesn't have the excuse of being in a new system, if he doesn't get the job done this year, we all know Kyle Boller can't.

The Bengals also fascinate me because of that offense. They remind me of the Colts circa 2002-03, lots of offense and a suspect defense. Everyone is worried about how that offense does without Chris Henry...I think any half decent WR could perform that task with all the coverage being drawn away. I think Palmer will likely get both Housh and CJ over 1000 yards this season and will be a contender for the MVP voting. I'm wondering if Marvin Lewis can keep the rest of his team out of jail, and if he can get the defense just playing "together" enough to win, ala the Colts defense of late.

I called Seattle's decline last year and I honestly believe they are going to be a .500 team this year. Shaun Alexander looks very mortal without Steve Hutchinson, even when he was healthy. The defense has always been suspect and last year got torched by Frank Gore twice. I think with Alexander declining, Hasselbeck will struggle and have one of the worst seasons of his recent career. I guess I'm fascinated and hoping they crash and burn at the same time.
