It seems likely, now that those three teams can afford to wait for a developmental quarterback in the second or third round. Smith is visiting the Jets on Wednesday and Thursday before moving on to a private workout with the Browns on Saturday, reports NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. If drafted by the Jets at No. 9 overall, Smith would immediately become the favorite to start over embattled incumbent Mark Sanchez and rickety veteran David Garrard. If the Browns get to Smith first at No. 6 overall, it would be validation for the sentiment that the new regime has major concerns about the long-term viability of last year's first-round pick, Brandon Weeden.
