1- OT, Tyron Smith Wrongly labeled buy some as Bruce Campbell II, while he does has some growing and refining, is a much better football player. Should start at RT from day 1 and provide quality pass protection........run blocking not so much. Wes Bunting thinks he can eventually carry 320 lbs well.... is only 20 years old 2- CB, Ras- I Dowling Seems like a guy thats constantly rising and falling. Really wanted to but Harris or Williams here, but could argue that its not "wishfull thinking". Dowling is a very solid CB prospect, and a physical one that the Ryan seems to favor. Davon House is also a guy to watch for the same reason 3- DT, Kenrick Ellis Offers talent and versility on the DL. Can swing from NT to 5 Tech. Somewhat boom or bust, but has the talent to be a high quality NFL starter 4- SS, Deandre McDaniel Slipping but good value here at a position of need. Should be a better pro then his former teammate Mike Hamlin. Could be a very versatile SS 5- Safety, Deunte Williams Solid value in the 5th as a development player. Could develop long term at either safety spot, althoough he looks more like a FS now. Push's AOA 6- OG, Zach Hurd Physically gifted OG prospect, but very raw. Could be a quality starter in a couple years. All he needs is coaching 7- ILB, Nick Bellore Not a great draft for ILB's. Bellore gives us a solid backup who could start if called upon. 7- WR Ricardo Lockette Blazing fast with good size, but very raw. Since we have one of the top WR coaches in the game, taking guys like Lockette late are solid gambles
Really think JJ is gonna go ol in first round ....has he ever picked a old in first rd.... sent from my cell using tapatalk snitches
No, but his stance is changing. He was target OT's in 2008 and had Iupati rated over Bryant last year
There are enough D guys with potential at the top for 1 of them to slip, especially with 2 QB's going in the top 5.
I based this one on the recent interest in Smith. Only thing about the top talent that could fall are flags (Quinn, Bowers) Personally, I would take the gamble. Jones however, doesnt seem to like gambling with major medical flags
I'd take Prince over Smith. Its just right now, Im thinking Smith is the pick. Alot could change tho Something to think about, we've shown interest in Petterson and Harris and Prince doesnt have a visit scheduled. We never brought Mike Jenkins in for a workout
It all depends on first how they have their board, and second what position they want to address. Jones typically goes value > need Personally, i dont think we need to make a pick at 9 at all. We need 3 solid players more then 1 great one
Also want to point out we traded up for Jenkins. So that their tells you we we're aggressively targeting him despite no visit
stay the heck away from dowling and i think i would also fight you for ellis, i dont think they steelers would take him though 5 for williams seems a little low imo
Williams is one of those guys who's stock is all over the place. He seems to go anywhere from early 3rd to mid fifth in some of the 7 rounders Ive seen
