  1. University of Nevada quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who has steadily climbed up NFL analysts' boards since a strong Senior Bowl week performance, has been invited to New York for the April 28-30 draft, a league source said Friday night. Kaepernick threw for 10,098 yards and 82 touchdowns with just 24 interceptions and ran for 4,112 yards and 59 more scores in four seasons as the Wolf Pack's starter. He has gone from virtually unknown to one of the top quarterback prospects in the draft, and many analysts see him as a solid second-round selection. Kaepernick, who's 6-foot-5 with a powerful arm and the ability to outrun pursuing defenders, is seen by many scouts as strong and durable but raw. He has visited or worked out for six teams, including the Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans.
