Just curious, am I the only one who isnt a fan of their hulk hogan esq stature. By that, I mean them not having to sell at all, them not taking a bit of pain, and them squashing EVERYTHING in their path. 6 of the 7 members dont even belong in the FCW, much less the WWE.
For me, the initial angle was fantastic, ripping up the place and although I am a self confessed Bryan Danielson mark, the raw emotion portrayed made it all captivating. Personally for me, once he got sacked it's taken the steam out of the storyline and now it's degenerated into having them randomly attack people without having any real substance behind it all. Next week on RAW, for the first time actually has one of the members put into a bout (Wade Barrett), which is like over two months after the debut of the group. They could have done so much more with angle but the writers lack of direction and creativity has just turned it into another crappy WWE invasion (Return of nWo, the WCW/ECW invasion storyline etc). They haven't even used it to put anyone in the group over, after all, Barrett is meant to get this title shot, why not try to build a storyline around him? I think Wade Barrett could be a top heel in the company, and Justin Gabriel coould be a nice career midcard spot guy (Shelton Benjamin, Jeff Hardy pre push etc). Other than that, the rest should fade into obscurity. Highly unlikely, but I'm getting the feeling that they are running this storyline until Danielson's 90 day no-compete clause ends before derailing this now-crapty faction.
so you're ok with them being untouchable despite the fact that they cant wrestle burying hall of famers to put the nexux over, really? bad booking wwe, bad bookie
burying hall of famers? lol they don't need to know how to wrestle to do that besides last monday a couple of them showed they were improving and if we can have cena as the top dawg of the wwe that has probably a little more wrestling talent then them why can't we have them? Wade - should stick around after this whole Nexus ordeal Justin - can survive in the wwe, he's got plenty of in ring talent Heath - he's learning the ropes pretty quick Otunga (sp) - he's got mic skills he can go though. Skip - as long as he don't go back to that yep yep crap kind of talk he seems to be showing some improvement. Young - he can go. he seems to be like Cena no talent in the ring, but at least Cena has mic skills Tarver - he's a hit or miss really didn't see much of him in NXT outside of his attitude lol and if you have watched wrestling long enough, you know this is all show to build up for the heroes to beat them in the end
outside of wade, there is one other one who could possibly stick and thats shefield with some tuning and training he can be a mid level jobber.
I don't see the need of having a "secret leader" behind them. After all, it's Barrett who is meant to be getting the push from it all. Having a leader will only do bad when it comes to WWE creative.
its the 'E' so you know there with be a 'twist' or 'surprise' im just hoping its the the rumor that bret hart is the secret leader, using the nexus to get back at the 'E' for the way he was treated. These little bastards should be required to wrestle in singles matches so their weaknesses can be shown, this group mentality can only work but for so long.
