NFL.com’s Gil Brandt won’t be making friends in Seattle, St. Louis and Glendale anytime soon, but definitely in San Francisco. Brandt hosted a live chat on NFL.com on Tuesday, and boldly predicted the Seahawks run as NFC West kings will end this season, with the 49ers snatching that crown. Here’s more from Brandt: “First off, they have a good nucleus, and I think Jim Harbaugh will do wonders with Alex Smith. That will put them in position to win that division. This guy is a good coach.â€￾ If Brandt is in fact correct, it would be the 49ers first division title since 2002. Brandt was asked later in the chat who he thinks will be the Week 1 starter for Seattle: “I think it will be Charlie Whitehurst. They have a new offensive coordinator (Darrell Bevell), and I think he’ll look at what Whitehurst did at the end of the season and go with him.â€￾

So The 9'ers are going to win at least 8 games this year? No way.

It is kind of hard to say that anyone has had a reign over that division with how bad the teams have been.
