NFL Fines Titans RB Jackie Battle $21K For Unnecessary Roughness Against Texans

    Titans running back Jackie Battle has been fined $21,000 for unnecessary roughness after the NFL ruled he struck an opponent with his helmet on a run play in Sunday’s game against the Texans. Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports.

    The league ruled Battle was in violation of a new rule that restricts ball carriers from initiating contact with the crown of the helmet outside the tackle box.
