Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Dashon Goldson has won his appeal of a one-game suspension and will be eligible to play Sunday against the New England Patriots, according to NFL.com.

The NFL suspended Goldson on Monday for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Saints running back Darren Sproles in the second quarter of last Sunday's game.

Goldson will be fined $100,000 for the hit, matching the record pricetag Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was hit with for his low block on Minnesota Vikings center John Sullivan. The hit to Sproles came one week after Goldson was fined $30,000 for hitting New York Jets tight end Jeff Cumberland during the Buccaneers' Week 1 loss.

The 29-year-old Goldson has 16 tackles in two games this season, his first with the Bucs, the Washington product played his first six seasons with the 49ers.

sounds fair. Didn't seem that bad. Sproles got right up after the hit. He may be a hard hitter but his body and brain will be mush in his later years. So keep hitting and giving teams 15 extra yards.

He saved some money and gets the opportunity for another fine next week!

I think next time he will get suspended. Probably for more than one game.
