NFL Passes New Field Goal, PAT Rules

Discussion in 'NFL General Discussion' started by BigBlueBruiser, Mar 24, 2010.

  1. During a field goal or extra point attempt, the defensive team can't position any player on the line directly across from the snapper. Previously, a player needed to have his helmet outside the snapper's shoulder pads.

Since when has the Long Snapper been considered valuable enough to bend the rules to accomodate?

This is the one thing that pisses me off about the NFL, how they bend the rules to manufacture how the game is played.
