Rookie linebacker Brandon Spikes' season got off to a not-so-great start with an Internet s*x tape making its way around the web, and it's ending (at least his regular season) in similar fashion. Spikes, 23, has been suspended by the NFL for four games for violating the league's banned substance policy, according to the Boston Herald's Ian Rapoport. "He hopes to return for the playoffs," Rapoport wrote, adding that it was "not a steroid" Spikes will not appeal the suspension. The Patriots drafted Spikes in the second round of last year's draft. The two-time All-American at Florida has been a valuable part of the Patriots' defense this season, highlighted just Monday night by his interception on his own goal line. Source NESN
I hear it was a substance in medicine, but who knows with this idiot. He's definitely not the brightest star in the sky. Good ball player, but don't know how long he'll be with us if he can't get his crap together.
Weird, but hearing it is medicine for ADHD, that contains a banned substance. I guess he does have ADHD from what I've heard, but why wouldn't this have been cleared before.
