New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers vie forteam of decade - Don Banks - SI.com These were the top 5... 1. New England 2. Pittsburgh 3. Indianapolis 4. Philadelphia 5. New York Giants What do you guys think?
If the Steelers win the Super Bowl again in 2009, they'd tie the Patriots in championships this decade. Unless that happens, I'm going with the Pats.
Sounds about right even though the giants have a superbowl over the eagles. Between 00-04 the eagles wins were 11 11 12 12 13 which is hard to do 5 seasons in a row.And all these nfc champship games are tough to get to also. I guess you could debate that the superbowl makes them better but thats the only thing that would.
Yea, can't argue with that. It had our little argument build right in. The Eagles are way ahead in win percentage. Problem is, no one will remember that in 20 years. I think the top 6 look good in ranking, it's starts to get a bit harder to choose after that.
Dallas is at 20 :icon_cool: List of things that were going on last time dallas did anything bill clinton first term in office eli manning was in high school tony romo was in high school derek jeter was a rookie bulls were unstoppable 26% of americans had internet service people used big cell phones nintendo came out with n64 furby came out # 1 song was macarena :Loco:saw that list on a video so funny
Mike Oxlong coming to say I always start Cowboys/Eagles crap and that I'm a hypocryte in 3....2....1...... :icon_rolleyes: (BTW...I don't even know what happened the last time the Eagles won anything because that was like 30 years before I was born. But I'm a hypocrite for starting crap like this, so I'll shut the heck up now).
Why do you even listen to him? Who cares what he thinks talk about the eagles all you want. And we have won something its called a nfc championship its still something lol.
O rly? Quick...who won the NFC Championship in 1986? Don't google it. (Ohh...and I'm actually making fun of Mike "I'm perfect and you suck" Oxlong, in case you didn't notice :icon_confused:)
My point exactly. I'm sure you know the Super Bowl Champions of the years before you were born. Nobody remembers "conference champions". Super Bowl champion is all that matters.
Its still a championship and this is about this decade and dallas hasent won anything and has stunk it up as well.
It kind of does i think about how ive been kind of spoiled. Since i started watching football in 2000 ive seen alot of winning but the nfc championship losses are haunting lol.
I started watching football in the early 90's, so yeah, I was also spoiled. The 2000s haven't been good to me sports-wise :icon_confused:
'01 Mariners: Choked '02 Cowboys: Worst Cowboys team ever 2000s Knicks: Pretty much sucked all the decade '02- Present Mariners: Sucked '06 Cowboys: Choked '07 Cowboys: Choked I hate this decade...I really do.
yep, the list looks pretty accurate. the eagles of the 2000's are kind of like the bills of the 90's. they're close almost every year but just can't get the ring. and, right now, the pats are far ahead of the steelers for #1. even if the steelers win another one this year, the pats have an extra SB appearance and the first 16-0 season in nfl history so I think they would still get it.
Last decade, people said that if the Broncos had pulled the three-peat, they would have beat the Cowboys for "team of the 90's" honors. Honestly? If the Steelers win another one this year, I'd put them above the Patriots for this decade.
no doubt someone could make a pretty strong case for the steelers, especially considering they would have done what they did with 2 different coaches, which shows strength in the organization itself. the Pats ARE Bill Belichick at this point in their existence. No one knows if they could do anything without him. I would still give the edge to the Pats though with the 16-0 season and an extra SB appearance.
