According to reports, Eagles quarterback Nick Foles has been fined $10,000 for an illegal peel back block against the Minnesota Vikings. The play occurred with about 9 minutes left to go in the second quarter. The Eagles were down seven points (10-3) and Eagles coach Chip Kelly elected to go for it on a 4th and short. The play was brilliant: a double reverse where Foles handed the ball off to Riley Cooper, who then handed off to DeSean Jackson who used his gamebreaking speed to run it in for a score. Unfortunately for the Eagles it was called back due to Foles' illegal block during the play. Foles dived at the knees of a Vikings defender who was in pursuit of Jackson. It's a shame considering Foles didn't need to make that block in order for Jackson to move the chains or score. The Eagles were forced to settle for a field goal instead of a TD to tie the game. It's hard to see Foles making that same kind of co$tly mistake in the future. Click here to see a GIF of the play.
