It's not easy for a 6-1, 306-pound nose tackle to be hidden, but that's exactly what has happened to Kyle Williams. The man in the center of the Bills' defensive line quietly has been the team's best defender this season, a rare bright spot for a unit that has struggled vs. both the pass and run. Williams, who has started 60 games since being drafted in 2006, excels at creating pressure on offensive lines and keeping blockers off of Bills linebackers. A team insider called the 27-year-old Williams, "A really bright guy who has played better every year he's been in the league, with a high motor. … He's always improving." In Week Three vs. the Patriots, Williams had three tackles, a sack and a pass deflection, despite being double-teamed for much of the game. Along with OLB Chris Kelsay, to whom the team just gave a four-year contract extension, Williams (who is signed through 2012) is a key piece to the team's long-term plans for its front seven.
