I always seem to be in a quandary about who to bench in my TD heavy league. I need to play one RB and one WR plus two others. My five key players are McCoy (vs. ATL), DeMarco (vs. HOU), Demarius (vs. OAK), Hill (vs.WAS) and Tate (vs. MIN). Initially I expected Hill to be on the bench after Week 1, but he's produced big in two of three weeks. Somehow I am 3 - 0, thanx mainly to the defense and opponent's poor performance, and I'd sure like to continue. Who would you start? Team #3: - (TD Heavy, 14 Teams): 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 2 FLEX, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF Passing: 4 pts/TD - 5 if >40 yds, 3 pts 300-399 yds, 6 pts 400-499 yds, 10 pts >500 yds. Rushing & Receiving: 6 pts/TD, 9 pits/TD >40 yds, 1 pt 50-99 yds, 3 pts 100-199 yds, 6 pts 200+ >yds Starters: QB - Prescott, RBs - McCoy, D. Murray, WRs - Demarius, Tate, TE - Kelce, K - Prater, DEF - JAX Bench: QB - Cutler, RBs - Perine, Kamara, WR - Tyreek Hill, Thielen, TE - Zach Miller, K - Barth, DEF - TB
Sorry! I feel I must start McCoy and maybe Tate. But I am not sure which two from among Hill, Thomas, and Murray. I don't believe Thielen is a consideration although he's been playing well. But I'm open to all suggestions.
I can provide reasons for and against all five of them. Perhaps that's my problem - no one stands out. McCoy should be an automatic, but in this league, 99 yards is one point while Tolbert runs for 8 yards and has 12!
Really like Hill and Murray over Thomas this week. SANDERS has the better match up and DT has had far fewer red zone opportunities Thielen is gonna snake bite you the week you start him, and go off the weeks you dont.
You might like this chart to really try and figure things out at a level you're comfortable with.. it shows that DET has allowed less receiving touchdowns than Oakland.. which may lean you more toward DT - After really looking at it the chart says to bench Hill for DT - But heck Murray has one hell of a matchup too. As far as receivers are concerned I like to look at the sack rate for the o line and d line.. which are the last two columns.. chart says Alex will be getting harassed pretty good which is bad for his receivers
